The Reggio Emilia approach was developed for child-care and education programs serving children below six years of age. This approach requires children to be seen as competent, resourceful, curious, imaginative, and inventive learners. Children learn and develop through an intrinsic desire to play, explore, create, interact and communicate. The internationally famous Reggio Emilia approach has been adopted in many countries such as UK, USA, UAE, Australia and New Zealand. In the Reggio Emilia approach, the parent’s role is considered to be an essential one. Educators see parents as being active partners in their child’s learning and development. Educators take into account the children’s interests and questions when creating the environment therefore facilitating challenging, stimulating learning and developmental experiences. Educators document children’s learning journeys through photographs, descriptions of activities and potential learning outcomes.
Our qualified and experienced early childhood educators aim to create rich and meaningful early learning experiences for child through the Reggio Emilia inspired Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. We aim to support children to develop independence, confidence, self-esteem and a love of learning.
At Kids First Group, we have a vision for an innovative early childhood education with a difference. Our directors and senior management made an exploratory visit to the municipality of Reggio Emilia and began the process of researching, experimenting, and exploring the various elements of the Reggio Emilia’s best practices to bring back and implement into our nurseries. Kids First group represents our commitment to provide the best in early childhood education for our children, teachers, and parents.
